श्री महालक्ष्मी अन्नछत्र सेवा ट्रस्ट (रजि.), कोल्हापूर तर्फे जानेवारी 2010 पासून दर शुक्रवारी निवासनी श्री महालक्ष्मीच्या दर्शनास येणाय   परस्थ भाविकांसाठी मोफत अन्नछत्र सुरु केले आहे. हा उपक्रम सूरु केले नंतर अनेक दानशुर व्यक्तिंनी अन्ऩदानाचे पूण्य ओळखुन भरघोस मदत केली. त्यातुनच आज अखेर दर शुक्रवारी मोफत अन्नदान केले जात आहे. भविष्यात या अन्नछत्राची व्याप्ती वाढविणेच्या दृष्टीकोनातून या सुरु असलेल्या अन्ऩदानाच्या उपक्रमात सामान्यातला सामान्य माणसांस सहभाग घेऊन पूण्याची शिदोरी वाढविणे शक्य व्हावे. म्हणूनच आमच्या  ट्रस्टतर्फे  नविन योजना सुरु करित आहोत.

योजना

1) प्रत्येक व्यक्तीने दररोज रु. 1/- एवढी अत्यल्प देणगी देऊन यामध्ये सहभाग घ्यावा.

2) सहभाग घेणाय्रा व्यक्तीस हितचिंतक देणगीदार म्हणून संबोधले जाईल.

3) हितचिंतक देणगीदारांची संख्या 2000 इतकी मर्यादित आहे. प्रथम येणा  स प्राधान्य या पध्दतीने हितचिंतक देणगीदार म्हणून नोंद केली जाईल.

4) अशा हितचिंतक देणगीदाराने प्रत्येक दिवसास रु.1/- याप्रमाणे वर्षाचे रु.365/- दरवर्षी संस्थेकडे जमा करावेत.

5) हितचिंतक देणगीदारासाठी वर्षातील एका शुक्रवारी सर्व कुटूंबासाठी मोफत अन्नदान

प्रसादाचा लाभ घेता येईल.

वरीलप्रमाणे योजना असून हेच श्रेष्ठदान असलेमुळे दररोज स्वतःच्या उत्पन्नातील रु.1/- एवढी अत्यल्प देणगी देऊन अन्नदानाच्या पुण्याईचा लाभ सर्व सामान्य जनतेने घ्यावा. यासाठी वरीलप्रमाणे विनम्र आवाहन असून या योजनेत सुरुवातीस 2000 हितचिंतक नोंदले जात असलेने याबाबत लवकरात लवकर आपल्या देणगीची नोंद करावी.

सदर योजना ऑगष्ट 2010 ते 15 डिसेंबर 2010 पर्यंत सुरु राहणार असून या योजनेत सहभाग घेऊन मोफत अन्नछत्र या उपक्रमास सहकार्य करावे. ही विनंती.

Today (22-January-2010) Mr. Anand Mane (President Kolhapur Chamber of Commerce) inaugurated Mahalaxmi Seva Trust’s Official Website.

या मुद्दाल्या अनुसरून आम्ही काही समविचारी कार्यकर्ते एकत्र येऊन मोफत अन्नछत्र चालू करावे का? असा विचारविनिमय केला.करायची इच्छा तर होतीच, पण म्हणावे तितके सोपे नव्हते.परंतु आम्ही हार न मानता जिद्दीने ‘श्री शाकंभरी पोर्णिमा’ सन २००८ रोजी प्रथम अन्नछत्राची सुरूवात केली.
पण हे सर्व सुरू करीत असताना सर्वात मोठा प्रश्न होता जागेचा, यानंतर आर्थिक बाबीचा परंतु श्री महालक्ष्मी भक्त मंडळाचा सर्व पदाधिकाऱ्यानी आमचा सर्वात मोठा प्रश्न सोडवून प्रसादासाठी संस्थेची जागा उपलब्ध करून दिली. त्याबद्दल त्यांचे आभार मानावे तेवढे थोडेच आहेत.महालक्ष्मी भकत मंडळाचा अन्नछत्रासाठी फार मोठा वाटा आहे.सुरूवातीस प्रसादावेळी काही आर्थिक अडचणी येत होत्या; पण त्यावर मात करून आम्ही व सहकाऱ्यांनी हे आव्हान पेलून नेले, पण नंतर त्यामध्ये सर्वांचा प्रतिसाद वाढत गेला.

एवढा चांगला उपक्रम पाहून भाविकांनी स्वतःहून मुक्तहस्ते सहकार्य केले.त्यांच्यामुळे आम्ही यशस्वी दोन वर्षे पूर्ण करू शकलो.भक्तांच्या मागणीनुसार व वाढत्या प्रतिसादामुळे हा प्रसाद फक्त पोर्णिमेस न करता प्रत्येक शुक्रवारी हे अन्नछत्र सुरू ठेवण्याचा सर्वानुमते निर्णय घेतला.
आजपर्यंत जसे आपण आम्हांस सहकार्य केले तसेच इथून पुढेही करत रहाल याबद्दल आम्हाला विश्वास वाटतो

Mud – pot is installed and duly worshipped. Gun is fired.

On Panchami, Mahalaxmi is seated in a palanquine which is taken for visit to Tryambuli. It enters the temple at noon. The scene is worth – seeing. Both the deities look brilliant. Then they return and Kohala is sacrificed outside.

Ashtami is the most important day. They believe Devi does not sleep that day. Going round the city is done with due pomp and circumstance. Devi enters into the bodies of some ladies.

Prolonged worship is done after 12 at night. ‘Sapta Shati’ is recited on Navami. Oblations of ghee, rice, seasam are offered on the altar (sacrifice)

Many women offer cloth & coconut. Devi wears ornaments at Pooja. The worshipers (Priests) skilfully build different worships, e.g. Devi standing, seated on lion, elephant, eagle. There is a long queue to take delight. The police & volunteers help. Musical programmes are arranged. Maharashtra Bank has opened an office to receive donations.

Dasara is remarkable. The palanquine of Devi comes to Dasara square in royal atmosphere. It is taken through Harijan colony. Visiting Shreedhar Swami Cloister, it returns to the temple at 9 P.M.

Thus, this festival is conducted in an atmosphere of jubilation and enthusiasm !

as well. Karveer is paramount. It is a center of power (Shakti-peetha), Mahamatrka.

The city is referred to in many Puranas, 500 years back. Research guesses that it was in existence in the times of Parashuram. The time is.considered parallel to that of Mata peeth (Mahurgad), Sapta Shringi (Nasik) and Bhavani Peetha, in the Ramayana times. Karveer washes off great sins. There are many ancient, rich temples, holy places and gardens.

There is evidence to show that the Konkan king Kamadeo, Chalukya, Shilahar, Yadav dynasties visited this city. Adya Shankaracharya also visited. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj & Sambhaji reigned.

The idol of Mahalaxmi is made of jewel – stone, approximately weighing 40 kgs. The size is like Salunki. Sand & diamond are found in it. It stands on a stony stage with a lion behind it. In the middle there is natural lotus. It is four-handed, having Vetak, shield, Mhalung & Water-Pot. There is crown on the head and a snake holds shade.

In 109 A. D. Karnadeo cut off the jungle and brought the temple to light. The existence goes back to 8 th century, according to Dr. Bhandarkar & Mr. Khare.

In the 8 th century, the temple sank down due to earth­quake. In the 9 th century Gandavadix (King) extended the temple by building Mahakali Mandir. During 1178 -1209, in the reigo of

Raja Jaysing & Sindhava, South gate & Atibaleshwar Temple were built. In 1218 Yadav king Tolum built Mahadwar, and offered jewels to Devi. Further, Shilahar built Maha Sarasvati Mandir. He being a gain, got 64 idols carved. It is possible that new idol called Padmavati was installed at that time. Further, in Chalukya times, Ganapati before the temple was installed. It seems that the original temple was of the Hindus. In the 13 th century, Shankaracharya built Nagar Khana & Office, Deepmalas.

During 1712 – 1760 (Sambhaje Reign) Narhar Bhat Shastree had a dream which he told to Sambhajee. In the Mogal reign, the worshippers had hidden the idol for protection. Believing Sangavakar’s dream, Sambhajee started a search. This idol was found in a house in Kapil Teerth Market. According to Sambhaji’s letter dated 8 Nov. 1723, Sindhoji Hindurao Ghorpade of Panhala installed the idol again on 26 Sept. 1712 (Monday, Ashwin Vijiya Dashami)

The number of devotees grew, and in due course of time, the Devi became the Deity of Maharashtra. The idol began to denude due to Abhishekas. So Sankeshwar Shankaracharya got it repaired. After Vajralep & sacrifices, it was again installed at the hands of Kolhapur Shahajee Raje in 1954.

In 1960, there was transformation under the supervision of Mr. Lohiya. As a result, the premises seemed extensive. There are 5 main temples and 7 Deepamalas now. Around are 35 small – big temples and 20 shops. There are 5 Hemad-style tops. Adjoining is Garud Mandap, built by Mr. Harshe. There are 3000 temples in all in Kolhapur, which are managed by the

Western Maharashtra Devsthana Committee.

The Goddess is family-deity of many throughout India. Good wish – May she bless all !

In the evening, after 7-30 p.m. Bhog-Aarati after ringing of bells is done. Every Friday Maha Naivedya is offered. Alankar – Pooja is taken off. At 10, Shejarati is done. After some songs, the door is closed & programme ends.

There is a tradition to offer Aarati & Naivedya to other deities also. Different groups of devotees attend different Aaratis. The dishes for Aaratis are made of silver.

[ Note for Foreigners - Aarati is the last part of the procedure of Hindu Idol-worship. It consists of small lights being turned from right to left before the idol. It is accompanied by ringing of bells & chanting praiss which create sublime, tranquil atmosphere ]

हजारो भाविकांनी घेतला लाभ

श्री महालक्ष्मी अन्नछत्र सेवा ट्रस्ट (रजि) ही संस्था गेली दोन वर्षे श्री महालक्ष्मी मंदिरामध्ये विविध सांस्कृतिक, आध्यात्मिक, धार्मिक, शैक्षणिक व इतर क्षेत्रामध्ये सातत्याने कार्यरत आहे.तसेच महालक्ष्मी मंदिरातील प्रत्येक उत्सवामध्ये श्री महालक्ष्मी अन्नछत्र सेवा ट्रस्टचे सर्व कार्यकर्ते सक्रिय सहभागी असतात.श्री दर्शनासाठी देशाच्या कानाकोपऱ्यातून लाखो भाविक येत असतात.या भाविकांसाठी आपणही खारीचा वाट्याने काम करायचे, भाविकांना जास्तीतजास्त सेवा उपलब्ध करून द्यायची, हा या मागचा ट्रस्टचा हेतू आहे.
आम्ही आमच्या ट्रस्टच्या माध्यमातून श्री महालक्ष्मी भाविकांना मोफत भोजनाचा लाभ व्हावा म्हणून श्री महालक्ष्मी अन्नछत्र सेवा ट्रस्टची स्थापना केली आहे.या माध्यमातून भाविकांना पोटभर मोफत भोजन देत आहोत.पण इथे रोज  अन्नछत्र चालू करणे हे काम थोडे कठीण आहे.म्हणून आम्ही महिन्याच्या प्रत्येक पौर्णिमेस हे अन्नछत्र चालू करण्याचे ठरवून प्रत्यक्षात जानेवारी २००८ साली शाकंभरी पार्णिमेच्या निमित्ताने साधारणपणे १००० ते १५०० भाविकांना या मोफत प्रसादाचा लाभ मिळावा, असे नियोजन केले या भोजन प्रसादामध्ये पांढरा भात / वरण / आमटी / मसालेभात / गव्हाची खीर / भोपळ्याचे भरीत / लोणचे असे पदार्थ ठेवून सुरूवात केली.विशेष म्हणजे कोणत्याही पदार्थामध्ये कांदा, लसूण वापरला जात नाही.श्री महालक्ष्मीच्या कृपाशीर्वादाने शेकडो हात मदतीसाठी पुढे आले.स्थानिक व परस्थ भाविकांनी हस्ते-परहस्ते मदत करून या पवित्र कार्यास सहकार्य केले म्हणून आम्ही हजारो भाविकांना प्रसादाचा लाभ देवू शकलो.हे सर्वांच्या सहकार्यामुळेच शक्य झाले.भोजनाचा लाभ घेणाऱ्या प्रत्येक भाविकाने समाधान व्यक्त केलेच, तसेच आपला अभिप्रायही लिहून ठेवला.भविष्यात याची व्याप्ती वाढविण्याचा विचार असून पौर्णिमेनंतर, दर शुक्रवारी हे अन्नछत्र सुरू राहणार आहे.पण गोवर्धन उचलणे एकट्या ट्रस्टला झेपणारे काम नाही.यासाठी समाजातील दानशूर मंडळींनी पुढाकार घ्यावा.आम्हांस सहकार्य करून श्री महालक्ष्मीच्या भाविकांची सेवा करावी,
